Archive (ἀρχή in Greek – beginning, origin), as storage of documents, is an important attainment of national culture. Studying, organazing, cataloging, and preserving archives helps to form a solid informational base for scientific results. At the same time, archives are necessary for social functioning, and serve as important factor of national identity awareness. Archives of the Laboratory represent scientific and artistic heritage of outstanding personalities, who during their lifetime transmitted Ukrainian culture woldwide.
